EventINAUGURAL HUDSON RIVER DAY!
Date(s)6/5/2009
Time6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Description

The Inaugural HUDSON RIVER DAY is now being planned as the grandest, certainly the most inclusive harbor and river wide event to celebrate New York's 400th anniversary!

The date is set for Hudson River Day to traditionally take place the first weekend of June when boat owners typically uncover and spruce up their boats and get on the water. For 2009, June 6th will be the official day although the celebration and events will be spread out over a few days to accommodate the signature event, the huge Relay Regata starting with the membership of boat and yacht clubs in New York Harbor rounding the Statue of Liberty led by the New York Heritage ships. The regatta will continue with Hudson River boats all the way to Albany as the great commemorative reenactment of the voyage of Henry Hudson in 1609!

We hope you will jump aboard and be a part of this entire valley community event. Check back her for details as they get confirmed. After all, its all about a river and a ship-our river, our legacy!
