Reaching more than 600,000 visitors last year and about five millions since the beginning during 2001, this fantastic fashion weekend includes designs and styles from most of Canada’s most in-demand creative designers.

Combined with Montreal fashion designers, many international designers and manufacturers are showcased too.

Formerly called the Sensation Design Festival, the event has expanded into an award winning spectacular of fashion week Festival that overlooks the Montreal’s downtown area just about every summer season.

You will be able to look at many fashions shows, of the Montreal Mode & Design Festival, starting from noon to midnight offers every days, some activities at the Quartier des Spectacles on the Esplanade.

You can also find numerous live shows along with multimedia activities that will occur throughout the Festival that includes concerts featuring well-known DJs or music artists and bands.

The happening comes together mainly at McGill College Avenue and not McGill Street. All the open-air fashion shows and concerts of the Festival cost nothing.

Previously, this particular festival was taking place about the same weekend as the Montreal Formula 1.

Anyway, the Montreal Fashion and Design Festival decided to moved it to the month of August starting in 2010.
